Did the horse and donkey this am and crossed on way out. Tradition to pass the bridge when across.

Manannan has his cloak out today so shrouded in mist.

Visited calf regardless. Can thoroughly recommend The Sound cafe as living up to its name. Opened by King Harold V & Queen Sonia of Norway.

Mist too heavy for pics.

😂😂😂 Was Debs - 1. Not in the car. 2. Screaming. Or 3. Very Quiet. Only time I've scared Anne was in the hire car going down to the creg.😁

Ain’t life surprising.

For the second time in 6 months we may have a broken spring on tour.
Front this time.
Knew I should not have let her go shopping unsupervised. It was too much for an slk to handle.

On plus side, mechanic inspecting tomorrow on a bank holiday.
And at least I bailed the tt lap early am due to thick fog.
Plus, we have a loan car if needed.

Manx folk look after visitors.

There’s a few SLKs on the IoM, so might be able to sort something even if just to get around.

Next time I will bring the 55!
Made of sterner stuff.

So, mech coming Tuesday due to commitments I decided to give it a run. I think it is driveable but not for the tt course.

Took a walk instead, around Port Jack (has a very good chippy), the millennial garden and Onchan Head.

Loved the doctor car and views.

Sadly, one of the parts sent was wrong and will come tomorrow. Handling and feel is already better. Big shout out to Island Autos in Douglas who have squeezed us in despite staff absence. They will get added to our UK listings.

Had to spend the day in Douglas. Bit of George Formby, several coffees, shopping, walk on the prom and the best Earl Grey ever, sneaky slice of banana & coffee cake (highly recommend the Tea Junction in Douglas)

Work finally done whilst we had brekky and toured the Manx museum (free, so I paid he he).

So, a run along marine drive, the Ramsey, Point of Ayr, west coast, Jurby, cut thru Shelby to the bungalow on the tt circuit.
Bungalow to the Creg in rush hour traffic limited speed to 100mph, which was legal. OH YEAH!

The Caff, Lord st and Manx museum by The Strand well worth visiting.

Friday.
Walked around Peel castle and watched the seals.
Due to heavy fog we decided to head south.
Some cracking roads and ‘testing’ as we descended through the fog.
Hit The Sound cafe for snacks whilst actually viewing The Calf. Could easily be in the Mediterranean as sun was fiercely bright and it was hot.

Took a run through Port Erin & St Mary. Then on to the ‘Two Six’ cafe in Dublin Haven. No refreshments tho’ as it was shut.
However, entertainment was provided by the airport fire crew doing some training.
