Nice run up Loch Lomond to near Oban. Not much sun but plenty of scenery, mountains and lochs. Pit stop at the Green Welly en route (obligatory).

Another day, another run.
Through Fort William and over to castle Eileen Donan then a quick (yeah right) chat with our very own dave2302. Nice set up at Dave’s gaff. Lots of wee beasties and the 4x4 (new wheel/tyre combo looks good). A demo of the v8 zorst which sounds a treat. Then back towards our hotel after an anniversary meal at The Old Inn which overlooks Castle Stalker.

That last one has me pondering mashed potato and ufos

Packed the boot…barely!
Trundled to Stirling via Glen Coe. Ooh, a castle!
They have shops!
One tour of Stirling castle and two rings later off to tonight’s stop.

Sunday = wash the car day.
We chose to use the local car wash, then the Barrhead jet wash and finish off with an under car dip wash along the Glasgow rd (A76).
This was fortunate as the weather donated a generous quantity of soft water ALL DAY.
Standing water was also plentiful but the locals colour it a muddy orange to blend in with the autumnal colours.
A few almost jet ski moments.
Driver did well in very adverse conditions. (Don’t tell).
Not the best day for pics, so only a couple. Shame because it was truly autumnal & vivid with a nice backdrop of mountains and hills.

Looks like you had a nice run there Myk & Deb. As you say you really can’t go wrong. Just starting another tour today, arrived in Moffat this afternoon. 🙂👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Very nice ! Looks like a fabulous trip, thanks for the inspiration .

We were thinking of taking the SLK to Scotland next year for a grand tour, to celebrate a certain milestone birthday. Can’t decide on doing the 500 or Islands / whiskey tour 😉… maybe both then …

A lot of folk do not realise how picturesque the NC500 is.
We have several write ups and SLKWorld did an organised tour which I still have information sheets for courtesy of @Garfalls.
