So I had my r170 on the ramps for a transmission service - cleaned everything and replaced the electrical plug as ive read you should do and tightened just enough ( not overtightened ) . Put her all back together and topped up happy days right ? Wrong , found the new plug leaking once topped up with oil so removed the oil and removed sump to take out said plug and investigate . The 7mm nut just constantly spins and doesn't loosen or tighten- the only thing I can think is the nut/ fixing on the conductor plate has given up . I've ordered a replacement , but slightly annoyed it couldn't be completed .

My question is has anyone else had a similar issue and how did you overcome it , is the conductor plate easy to replace .
