Whining noise when increasing RPM

Hi all, I recently bought a 2002 SLK200 on the cheap and it has a developed an excessive whining sound when increase rpm (whether in P/N or moving). Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

It’s most likely kompressor. Didn’t hear any of those models live but I don’t think it supposed to be this loud or maybe it’s microphone that’s making it louder than it really is. Still new here, so just wait for veterans of those slks to speak up.
