I haven’t posted for a long while mainly due to changing jobs but I have also been very busy with my wife’s 170 too.
she bought the 230k just over a year ago and wanted to stamp her mark on it (as she has done with every car she has owned) so she chose the look she wanted and handed the car over to me to work on it in all the spare time I’ve had in the past few months.
i know this isn’t one for the purists but I think it looks great and she loves it.
the little 230 now has the following:
outside:
full Rieger body kit sprayed and fitted consisting of full front bumper, side skirts and rear apron all with gloss black mesh fitted.
full detail including paint correction and ceramic coated.
Engine bay fully cleaned and polished.
debadged apart from the Mercedes logos which have been painted black along with the wheel centre caps.
personal registration fitted.
interior:
We decided to remove the rubberised interior paint as I couldn’t get a good enough finish when repainting it but it now looks like new.
Seats have had full leather treatment and have been dyed, steering wheel has been retrimmed in black smooth and perforated leather and a wind deflector fitted.
all the above doesn’t sound like a lot of work but believe me it took just about all of my spare time for months.
the even better thing is that after changing jobs I no longer work weekends so we are up for any local meets that may be coming up.
