Hi, i saw this online, would it sound any better then the original? I read somewhere that the log style causes it to sound like a vacuum. Is this any better? Any things i should keep in mind or damage to acure? Its just screw on, and screw off right?

Would a aftermarket exhaust manifold have any negative effects? I wanna keep the car reliable but just not sound like a vacuum

Also, chat gpt (i know sometimes that says random stuff) said the ecu might not correct the fuel if i have a cone filter and less restricted headers. Is that true? So the engine will run leaner. Can someone here confirm any of that?

I can let you know shortly🤣. As you saw (in other thread), I have a very non standard cold air intake with a huge cone filter. I am also midway through fitting this manifold (can see it next to stock one):
Automotive Exhaust Exhaust manifold Carbon fibers

(ignore the awesome crocs).
My experience so far with this car and ecu, is it is very good at adjusting things such as fuel and making sure the car runs well with whatever mod i have thrown at it 🤣

Anyway check back in about a week, @ me if you have to (i might forget otherwise) and i’ll let you know if my beautiful headers and cone air filter setup ruin my car or not 🤣

Took the car out for a spin today for the first time. Car seems to be loving the less restrictive headers and the big cone filter. no warning lights (except traction flashing up every now and then 😉). Minor detail: i think where i used a connector to connect my new headers to the old exhaust, i have a slight leak. but going to buy some exhaust sealant/paste and put it on the connections.

But to answer your original question: the ECU is absolutely fine with it (and my cone filter cost me like £10 too 🤣)

Hi! I really enjoy the sound, did you do anything else to the intake aside from the cold air mod?
I'm a huge fan of the supercharger whine :D
Are you running the engine with its stock supercharger pulley?
