Mirror Mirror on the wall....

Who is searching and making a call.....I am looking for a part. 1999 SLK 230 working rearview mirror. Mine has this weird dark shadow on the lower part on the inside glass. I know how to take it off, just looking to replace with a working mirror. Can anyone sell me a mirror?

As mentioned above, new old stock auto dimming can be found on ebay.
Don't be surprised if the item is $400 or more.

After 5 R170 SLKs, I have spent over $2500 in mirrors, counting the drivers door too.
Seems they all failed, and 100% of previous owners neglected to replace, even though Mercedes had a good faith warranty replacement for many years.

For anyone needing a mirror, or any other obsolete part, best to get on with the search now rather than later.
