4 cylinder 1.6l with 4 speed manual pumping out about 80bhp. Only weighed about 900kg (possibly less depending on how much steel had been lost to the rust bugs) so would reach 60mph/100kmh in about 13 seconds - downhill with the wind behind you - so not fast by any means, but able to keep up with normal traffic and as a bonus had front disc brakes so could actually stop.
Bought this basically as a rolling chassis when I was in my early twenties. Over the course of 9 months I got it up to roadworthy state - fixed the brakes, wheels, suspension, rebuilt the engine, cooling system, evicted the wasps from the horn, converted it to negative ground with a single 12V battery, and then drove it daily for nearly 15 years. By then it needed some more love so I had it 'professionally restored'. Sadly they were muppets who did some really good work, but also some questionable things - so once I got it back from their total restoration I had to do some more work on it. Anyhow, I then enjoyed it as the occasional weekend car before finally selling it. Again, it was sold to someone from a different state (financially I made a huge loss on it, but then again I had a lot of fun with it) so I kept the plates.

Audio
A blank plate with "====1600====" on it.
Suspension
Front lever shock absorbers with rear leaf springs. Yes, that is actually as bad as it sounds but surprisingly quite firm if in good condition
