Be aware that all mercedes manuals, etc are c opyrighted
those sold on ebay and other pirated sites are illegal and cannot be referenced, etc on our site

The problem for owners of non-NA cars as I found out last week at least WRT to mine is they don't rcognize it.
Whether they can be quoted on this site is important I agree but for individuals who want to do their own work I suggest if they can buy them do so.

Am curious how there can be so many sets of DVDs on eBay that are illegal. For my Jeep and Crossfire I bought copies of the service manuals on DVD directly from Chrysler. Is this something Canadian ?

(And the Chrysler one is much easier to use, never saw 11 sublayers of "wiring diagram" before the WIS....)

ps "Fair Use" is permitted of a page or two excerpt from a copyrighted work for commentary or educational use.

Thanks mate but where were you when I asked! (Laugh here). I was not aware of this site even though I have had 12 cars in the last 33 yr. $10!!

I found lots on eBay and a used book shop in the UK and haggled to get him down to $40. They are like gold on those sites.

Anyway no harm; no foul and I will book mark the site so I appreciate the heads up,

Looked at "Crazy" but just had owner's manuals for R170 and can download for free from M-B.

Did not have the M111 engine service manuals but can download that and a parts book as a .pdf from the Crossfire Forum

Am surprised M-B doesn't just give permission for personal use of manuals for cars no longer in production. I keep .pdfs for all of my cars on my cell phone "just in case" particularly since %*(_)^& usually happens when not in range.

Also not sure what MB is worried about, the WIS is my *last* choice when looking for something since it is so hard to use.

They put a lot into them and as Jeff has said they are copyrighted. That said, a used set on eBay had to be bought by someone so MB got their pound of flesh and if you can find an original set on eBay I say buy them.
When it comes to owner's manuals you can get them in PDF from MB but if you want to reference it on the road it gets a bit difficult unless you carry your device all the time.

I recommend MB C3 Star diagnosis is sold by ebay and for 350 € it brings you the diagnosis program with the complete workshop manual, EPC and many more things. It is worth it for people who love SLK who want to have it for many years.

It is true, the information of the EPC and WIS programs are very complete, but it is difficult to get the programs to work. I had both installed on my old computer but I never managed to make them work on the new one.
