There are ads in the video because I wanted to keep the music :D

Jeff edit: this video should be about 2:38
Youtube has been shortening videos lately for no known reason
if it goes to 1:00, please let me know. ty

Wow, that vid quality is fantastic. I didn't realize you got the A119. How do you like it? It's the cam I've pretty well decided on (but haven't pulled the trigger on yet).

Easier to ask: does the cam sw allow you to cut/edit clips or do you have to transfer to your 'puter and use 3rd party to do it?

It's great for the price..plus it is angled to fit the windshield. no dash suction cup for us due to 'pebbly' texture.
got new windshield last week and new tint so had to wait until today to reinstall it

I saw that yellow light!

Vid quality is excellent, played until you put it in Park. YouTube keeps popping up ads over it, you might want to set up ad revenue if you haven't already and plan to share a lot more vids over the years. Not that I ever got around to that myself, but when I see them over other friends' content I always hope they've set it up.

What I would like to know is why, in Florida, does everyone have their top up when the sun is shining? I mean, doesn't that defeat the idea of owning a convertible?

Seriously?

My top was down 4 times today. Just because you don't see it in a video does not mean it has not been down.
I have my top down everyday I go out except in a hurricane.

When I race someone I put it up for the aerodynamics of the car

also depends on several things

time of day.....hot sun......humidity 90%......maybe no sun tan lotion handy
I might have the top down, to suck a competitor in thinking I have a push over car.

I hope those answers satisfy your curiosity :D

Jeff

My comment wasn't about your car (I couldn't tell whether the top was up or down).

The comment was about the two cars in the videos, both which had their tops up.

Just an observation. I see it a lot of it here as well. Top up on nice days.

v/r Jeff

:D

I cannot speak for the 2 cars I was chasing
David's car, 2nd video, was on the way to get it detailed.

The 1st car in post 1 was about to go on the highway and I also don't like to cruise at 100 with the top down

Black AMG 55's chasing me down within spitting distance of Miami, in the gun loving USA. I think relief would be would be putting it mildly, when I was just handed a business card for the forum. I might also be considering a change of underwear.

On the other foot - many years ago, I had a Range Rover with tinted windows. I was seriously cut up by a guy crossing in front of me to get to a petrol station. The location was, well lets say a less desirably part of Birmingham. I just happened to have three of my friends in the vehicle at the time. No kidding, he really did nearly cause me to crash into oncoming traffic. Anyway I backed up with the intention have having a chat with him. Of course my three friends also got out which I hadn't anticipated and the guy duly alarmed, locked himself into his vehicle calling out apologies through the glass.

Now if you know me, I couldn't harm a fly and my principle defense plan on confrontation is to run away. That being the case, I quickly realized we have frightened the hell out of this bloke (more than he did to me probably), no chat was necessary and I returned to my vehicle mildly amused that I had been put in the role of the tough guy.

Anyway wont be chasing down any SLK's soon. More likely exchange at the fuel pumps, or in the supermarket car park :)
