A couple of events which happened within about 4 days.
I pulled up alongside a 2CV. You don't see many of these in Minnesota. I had one about 30 years ago and it was the best town car ever, until it was stolen in Montpellier. Anyway, when the lights turned green, I blasted off and the 2CV was smoked.
A few days later I pulled onto the freeway and saw way in the distance behind a little red dot. By the time I was at my exit ramp a mile down the road the little red dot was a Ferrari right behind me. I came off the ramp onto the next freeway, going a pretty fair lick, and the Ferrari pulled out and went past me like I was standing still.
There's always someone with a few more horses.
