Has anyone on here had occasions when drivers of EVs wanted to challenge them into racing? It's happened to me twice and my neighbour who owns an F-type has had it happen to him. Just asking.

I beat a Tesla once... Does that count? :D

I normally don't bother with Teslas

As one who has both, I can tell you the two have distinctly different characteristics. The one thing that Tesla is good for is that there is no shifting delay and the torque is on demand. Having said that, my 55 when it into its torque curve absolutely destroys almost any other Tesla. The only Tesla that you need to actually consider a worthy challenger would be the plaid S with the top speed of 200 miles an hour, and when it comes to handling there is no Tesla that even begins to be in the same class as the 55 that I have.

You just reminded me of two things my ‘pursuit’ trainer gave me for the bike.

The clutchless gear change. N/A to the 55.
Learning gear vs revs for the vehicle. Applicable to all ICE.

When you look at the rev limit to gear to speed, then manual mode is a wonderful beast (exhaust note too).
