Backgroun Music for your reading pleasure: Vivaldi Four Seasons first three movements of Spring
Spring certainly brings out the thoroughbreds. Driving leisurely heading north on Peachtree Road during medium traffic condition in Atlanta, I noticed ahead of me a Ferrari of unknown breeding. Later from digging on-line it was a Purosangue. The traffic was too heavy for attempts at a kill…until a BMW 430 convertible came up in my rear-view mirror. Things remained polite and as a 1,2,3 I am quite satisfied to end our race with Ferrari, SLK, and BMW 4 series. However, the Beemer decided to challenge my second place position and it moved into the left lane in multiple attempts to overtake. I maneuvered to block all of its challenges so that he remained in the left lane until traffic forced him back to its place. Eventually he took a left and failed out of the race.
That left the Ferrari Thoroughbred. Just as we passed West Paces Ferry, an opportunity presented itself where a merging truck turned left onto the the left lane of Peachtree Road. The truck was almost larger than the road and it overtook the Purosangue into the the right lane. Seizing this opportunity and a slow down in traffic in the right lane, I swung into the left lane and over took both the big truck and the Italian Stallion. Probably will be my most satisfying double kill this Spring.
