A few changes I made to make her my own. I stripped the paint and wrapped all of the plastic with $25 of vinyl I purchased on Amazon after repairing the cracks with crazy glue and baking soda. I also dyed the steering wheel black and changed on the center badge. I found an excellent stitch steering wheel cover that gives it a substantial grip feel. I changed out the gauge faceplate for one from a crossfire. I changed the main bulbs to blue which drowned out the green color and gives a nice blue color. I sanded off the orange paint on the gauge needles and wired in a single flat LED under each needle which gives the needle a nice blue hue when on. I purchased a CarPlay display and insalled it where the cup holders were, and purchased a 1/8” to cassette adapter and ran the wire inconspicuously to the cassette deck, looks great and sounds great! I had a small valve cover leak and since I had the cover off, I decided to repaint it with some wrinkle paint.

Just an aside and not a critisism ;)
The green layer on the xfire overlay is easy to remove with an emery cloth or sandpaper but that looks good as is.. nice work (y)

I used a 1/8” stereo plug to cassette adapter and set the radio on cassette. Works well and sounds great!

Looks great! Only thing I could think of is to change the Air conditioning faceplate to one with all black. Can get a black one from a 2004 special edition or a SLK32

Also, radio should go. My rec to everyone is the Kenwood KIV-Bt900 or KIV-700. Your lofty challenge will be then to 1) drill a hole in the cubby underneath and feed the USB cable there. 2) Get Sirius radio working. Need to trade the GPS FOB in back for a Sirius antenna, best would probably be Miata sharkfin. Can use the existing wiring. Use Sirius SVC-DOC to a portable unit like a Sportster 4 in the glovebox or center console. Even sweeter if you can find a lifetime one. Always meant to do this but my car ran its course before I could get to it.
