MEET: We will meet at the Sacramento Valley Museum 1491 E Street, Williams, CA. 95987 Saturday March 25th 2023 @ 10:30am.
We will be given a tour led by a docent with great information about the Sacramento Valley History.
The Museum is a former high School built back in 1911. The Sacramento Valley Museum Association is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and promoting interest in the historical development of the Sacramento Valley region from prehistoric times to the present. Our collections strive to connect the natural history and the rich multi-cultural history of the area with the community that exists today.
Located in the heart of the Sacramento Valley, the Sacramento Valley Museum provides displays of the region’s rich history featuring mid 19th to mid 20th century artifacts, textiles, and documents. Equally impressive is our 100 year old building that served as the high school for the city of Williams from 1911 to 1956. After sitting dormant for years, the hard work of local volunteers transformed the building into a museum. We invite everyone of all ages to come and discover a sense of place at the Sacramento Valley Museum!

DRIVE: After the museum tour, we will drive to Hwy. 20 to Capay Valley Hwy. 16 heading South to Woodland. It should be a great drive with green hills & wild mustard blooming along with some redbud trees and great views of Cache Creek. We will be doing the drive in reverse order than we normally have done in the past few years. We may stop by Seka Hills Olive Mill for a photo or olive oil.
Home - Séka Hills

LUNCH: We will have lunch around 1:30pm at Maria’s Cantina 306 6th Street, Woodland, CA. Phone 530/402-1540. They have a great menu & vegetable meals too. Please have cash available to make it easier for the server & we may not get separate checks. We have not made reservations. Surprise!

Please bring your walkie-talkies also.
Thank you.

We had a great time the high school Museum was fantastic, drive through Capay Valley sensational & lunch was awesome. Ran into an ItalIan car club along the way. One of our SLK members tried to park in between them when we parked at Seka Hills. I spoke with their group quickly & joked with them & tried to explain my doors opened wide on my car & I might have left a dent in one of their cars. Then I told them I was just kidding. We all had a good laugh.

A few questions . I saw this wasn’t sure if it was a plunger, orange or grapefruit juicer or something? It has a flared out at the bottom like a plunger but it’s made up of some type of metal? Any ideas. Look at the photo attached.

Handy dandy chair in case you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. May not want to walk out to outhouse or loo.
Murphy’s bed, victrola, & I think a round metal icebox? Any idea?
