I have a 2000 slk 230 R170.
I’ve Had a ridiculous amount of trouble with “Limp mode” for the past 6 months I’d say and I despise those words at this point,
a month or so ago I experienced the limp mode that is permanent unless cleared by SDS and I tried many solutions (conductor plate, gasket, filter and fluid replacement) and that did not work, I then replaced the TCM for a used one at a salvage yard.. that has surprisingly worked until today
I believe that the only reason I fixed the limp mode the first time is because I swapped the tcm that was not in limp mode, well I do not want to just keep swapping TCMs forever.
I want to get a system that can track down the problem with me and help solve this issue. Please help I’m stuck between Autel & carsoft, I’ve heard sooo many different opinions that I’m so nervous on purchasing the correct one as purchasing the wrong one will put me back a whole week as I am on a budget
I have 38 pin connector under the hood and 16 pin connector under the dash.
Do I need HHT WIN?
