I'm trying to put my new plates on. The issue is the rear plate is in a black frame with no obvious way to remove it. Any ideas/advice appreciated

A picture would be good. The dealer fitted ones have small holes at each end, a small screwdriver inserted into the holes can sometimes release the clip.
