Now that things are opening up again, the ferry is booked for us and the £1000 SLK to Fahren Fahren Fahren auf der Autobahn... I've done many Euro trips, last time in my Vito 638 camper. A little less room in the SLK and no way of making coffee..
Going from Newhaven-Dieppe.. cheaper than the Eurotunnel and Dover-Dunkirk!. Across France, Mulhouse, Stuttgart, then Bodensee, down into Swizz, Italian lakes, Cannes, Monaco,Milau then back to Le Mans, then Caen.. My grandfather's grave is there as he landed on D Day and was killed a few days later, so going to pay my respects.. D day beaches then home.. 1000 mile round trip in UK to ferry and back tho..
Aircon is repaired and charged, new tyres, all faults fixed, alignment done... ready to go! Just need cupholders!
Fuel prices are worrying though! I saw £1.99 a litre yesterday.. or £9 a gallon. 😲 ... trip may be shorter...
