After arriving on the train in calais around tea time we will be stopping over in Reims, day two takes us south of Kempten near the Austrian border, day three is a short haul into the Dolomites for a room with a view, day four see's us heading for Lido de Jeslo east of Venice for four nights,the journey back north starts with two nights in Stresa, Lake Maggiore, the last night is in St Dizier, we have done the road trip thing a few times now and enjoy it to the max, if you have not tried this sort of thing yet put it on your list asap.....enjoy:nerd:

Summer trip to Italy

We are making a similar trip but using a different route, plan to take a month.
Train to calais then driving to Troyes for a night stop over.
Then onto Annecy with a two night stay before moving onto 83630 Regusse.
We will stay in this region for 7 nights before driving into Italy and Portofino, 6 nights stay here then up skirting Turin heading for the Mont Blanc tunnel and back to near Annecy for one night.
Heading then into the Loire Valley were we will have another 6 night stay, before driving up to Honfleur and then a ferry from Dieppe to Newhaven.
Never on the wrong road, Just a different one. R)
