SLK32 - Idler Pulley / Tensioner Parts Discontinued

Hi. New to the forum, and sadly I'm starting with a problem. I bought my well looked after SLK32 (UK based, 2002 01 plate car, 73K) a few months ago. I completely love it, but although it appears the idler pulley and tensioner were replaced 5 years ago, they have now developed a squeak as the bearings are going and need replacing again.

Unfortunately the parts - A112 202 01 19 (idler pulley), and A112 200 10 70 (tensioner) - are discontinued, and my indy specialist can't find them anywhere either!

My wonderful SLK32 seems doomed, for the sake of a couple of fairly simple parts that I can't find in the UK / Europe.

So I was wondering (hoping) that you might be able to provide some pointers on where to find the right or equivalent parts.

All help very much appreciated, and thank you in advance!!

SLK32 - Uk registered - 01 plate - bright silver over anthracite interior and I completely love it!

you can see if a stateside member will send to you.

you find a member
you pay to ship part to usa member
you pay for and get dhl or similar to pick up part at members house
done.... member does nothing but supply usa address

don't forget to ask google :D :D

Sorry obvious question, you have tried a decent MB main dealer? There are some good ones believe it or not!
Reality is MB won't have made that part so it's a parts bin part from somebody.
will the old one split so you can rebearing it?
a good bearing specialist locally might be a place to start. They should have all the catalogues available from SKF, ***, Gates, continental, etc.

The problem is that p/n: A112 200 10 70 is the tensioner and pulley as a complete unit and is NLA 🤷‍♂️

The tensioner and pulley can be separated and individual pulleys are available, see above ^^^

Now then, if the issue is the tensioner itself that is FUBAR, that would be unlucky but not necessarily the end of the world even though it's NLA..

Disclaimer - I read it fb (so it must be true, maybe )

What they're saying is that you buy an A112 200 09 70 for a 320slk/320clk etc. and swap your existing [wider] '32 pulley onto the new unit 🤷‍♂️

UPDATE: After much searching, the final results were as follows: -

A112 202 01 19 (idler pulley)

I eventually found these in UAE at partsonclick.ae and had them shipped over. Very pleased - and amazed - to find they were OEM Mercedes parts. Bought 2, had both fitted, sorted the problem - no more squeak.

A112 200 10 70 (tensioner)

Couldn't find these anywhere, but it turned out the existing one wasn't the cause of the noise thankfully.

Hope this helps!
