Hi all, my 99 SLK 230 passed inspection in Costa Rica after replacing the Cats. So now I can drive it on the streets! But now I'm having an issue with the little cables that pull the flaps down on the deck lid when you put the top down. Mercedes part number: A 170 690 04 17, officially called a “Spannseil” — tensioning rope/cable. Does anyone know where I can buy these or how to make them? Thanks so much, Rob

Hey Rob, this Part got a new P/N look at these HP from MB SPANNSEIL | A1706900417
New P/N IS: A170690041764 or Direct from MB SPANNSEIL | A170690041764

If You got an General Aviation Shop or little Airport near by u maybe they can made u one. This Cable or Spannseil is the same than Cables on Cessna Piper etc. From Time to Time u have to replace them and we got here Companys who are Certified and made it from new Cable Material. So maybe u can found one who can do this. Or just buy it. Ok 105€ are ouchhh

But dont replace the Cats. keep am PLS. i love mine ;)
