My Wonderful Facelift!

I keep lookimg at other classic cars to buy and think about selling the SLK. Why? Well when it runs so well and does everything I want out of a car other than more of everything, guess it seems a little boring! Now, i was a racer mechanic and race boy but don't do that anymore. Ny needs are more on comfort, passing power, good road holding, all that with a top that disappears to reveal the sky!
My big trip involves putting on my running tights, shoes, spandex top and throwing my 29lb dogs travel bed on the passenger seat to protect things. I then go for the most reliable drive of a mile or 2 miles to either trailhead where I start my run. The most important control is the fantastic mute button on the command COMAND system as I listen to talk radio or the weather on these shorties!
My 2010 305HP? SLK350 is sooo much sweeter than my first 2007 SLK 350! Still on 33,500 on the odo. Everything is just a little nicer on the inside. Seats more comfortable w/dual lumbar, leathers nicer too. Dash, instruments, door panels, all a little richer looking, but not Jaguar fancy. Black, silver and very Tuetonic! My 2007 was nice, loved it when i owned it, but this is an upgrade. Plus all the AMG options are definitely trickier looking, wheels, nose, sides, rear end, paddles, new
reliable intake manifold.
Ok, time to run!

Nice car... almost exactly like mine. Mine is the 2008 European version (no reflectors on front bumper) with double 5 spokes rims and red accents (security belts and stitching) -I miss the autodimming mirrors.

And although the OP post was about driving, this area is really designed for 'kill stories' as described in the small print under the header/relocated to Road Trips.

Please keep that in mind when posting.
