I've searched a bunch and have seen a lot of posts on this, but most of the threads are closed or the links don't work.

I found an AWE P/N that was previously posted and bought those (1310-11018). They came in today and there are two pieces, one for each actuator. From all the threads I read, there was supposed two pieces to plug the existing actuators.

I didn't want to install these and leave the existing ones unplugged as I'm guessing any debris and moisture will ruin them pretty quicky. Is there supposed to be plugs or does everyone just leave it unplugged?

The emulators come in two parts, the emulator inserts into the existing wiring for the actuator & the short blanking part seals the plug to the muffler valves. The plugs can be a little difficult to separate, just need to be careful not to damage them.
I used the following and they worked perfectly - 15 minute job with no fault codes thrown.

Check out Wilson's video, the visuals are helpful:

I got the AWE ones posted in a thread I found here, they don't have the plugs. I did watch that video though. Also have an X pipe to install to sound similar ;)

Thanks for the link. I might install the AWE ones and order that one for the plugs.

I've found the emulators have added a nice bark with the rev-matching on down-shift though sounds a little weird in eco / 4-cyl mode (avoided as I always run it in V8 mode).
I'd like more exhaust sound but not a fan of the 'raspiness' that accompanies an X-pipe / resonator-delete, much prefer the old-school deep tone. I may look into these to gain the benefit of the X-pipe without excessive readiness :

Then there's the newer 'Z' pipe conversions now available though sounds would likely be similar to the X-pipe conversions. Lots of possibilities !!
