My m111 2.3 kompressor project

I started my project this summer by designing and making a new exhaust from the catalytic converter onwards.
Then I read the article on these m111 engines by @Alex.M-oneeleven and opened pandoras box.
Remembering that I had bought a pulley mos for the crank years ago. Installed that and I was very pleased with the result. Also fitted Denso iridium spark plugs. Now I am in the middle of this project with the just installed larger intercooler. Went for a test drive yesterday evening and it seems that the ecu is now cutting the engine on high revs. I was warned about this and I will try a new fuel pressure regulator next. I found one for an RS6 audi and got it on monday. I will try to post more on my mods here.

Today got to test it with the RS6 pressure regulator. It works like a charm on this👌🏻. Also made holes on the side of the airbox(thank you again Alex@moneeleven for the tip)
The whole car seems to fly now, and I am having some trouble with traction allready😅. Looking to get a new set of rims and tyres during winter but this is only if my budget allows it.
I will try to post small videos here. If unsuccesful, I will make youtube versions at some point.
Also a big thanks to Rofa for the tubes on the intercooler👍🏻

I put on an oversized crank pulled from Germany, colder plugs, and changed the fuel pressure regulator about two years ago, and it's been great. Probably need to find a used supercharger soon since I have almost 230k miles on the car (with about 50k after the larger crank pulley).

How was the intercooler change? Any noticeable change - was it worth it? Might be interested in that next.

Changing the intercooler made a difference definetely. Without the pressure regulator at first, it cut slightly on high revs. Now works like a charm. That measurment thing also sounds interesting and will have to try that out.
The intercooler which I got was from Poland. Made by a shop which sells and builds parts for drifters and regular cars. Measurments for it are 550x180x65.
Mine just cracke 247 000 kilometers.
