*The Natchez Trace Parkway is a 444-mile scenic drive through Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. I lived in Mississippi for 17+ years before moving back home to the West Coast. The Trace is definitely a drive worth taking with the top down, Spring or Fall.

Heads up. 55mph speed limit is heavily enforced and there's a heavy amount of deer nearby ready to run towards your car. Ask me how I know. 3 deer accidents + 1 fatality. Spring blooms and fall colors are breath taking. Most of this stretch is 2-lane. Some parts are 4-lane. No "city" structures or billboards to clutter the scenery. You'll spot some Native American burial mounds. Plenty of "points of interest" and trails along the way. For a real Southern meal, stop to eat or meet up at "Steele's Dive" in Tupelo, MS on Main St., just off the Natchez Trace. Tell Jason Steele I sent you. He'll appreciate your SLK's!
