Hello, my SLK200's tachometer recently started jumping while I was accelerating above 4000 rpm. The next day, when I scanned the car with my Launch scanner, I got and error code relating to the my crankshaft sensor. The code is P0339 An Incorrect Number Of Teeth Was Recorded By Rpm Sensor 1 Of The Crankshaft. The Signal Has Too Few Pulses.

So I ordered a genuine crank sensor and replaced it. The code is cleared and not reappeared. However, I noticed my car now takes a few seconds of cranking before it fired up.

I read that there is a procedure called Rotor Sensor Adaptation that needed to be perform whenever you replaced the crank sensor.

Could anyone help guide me on how to do this procedure? On my Launch scanner, I have the to option to do this but the instruction is not very clear on the process.

I replaced my CPS a little while ago and it needed no recalibration. Mind you, I have a M272 engine, not quite the same. The error message seems to point to a failing CPS, but as you've replaced it you should be good to go. The was no mention of any procedure in the WIS. Your problems seem to be related more to (possibly) fuel. What state is your battery in?
