We joined family this morning at Moors Valley, South of Verwood, and on the way there (in Silkie, in the sun, with the roof down), my father in law and I were discussing how long I'd had Silkie. He then asked if there were many of these cars left, because of their age and he hadn't seen many around.

Shortly afterwards, a pre-facelift silver R170 went past, roof up and oblivious to the wave I gave, and, while remarking about the age of that SLK and how to tell a pre- and post-facelift apart, another R170 facelift went past, same colour as Silkie and roof up again, but a smile of acknowledgement from the driver.

So two SLKs spotted within a couple of minutes. Not a bad haul. 👍🏻😁
