I’ve decided to “out myself “ as a dedicated poser….😎
I’ve created a “new version “ of the r171 SLK. A GTs……..
Actually I was looking at my personal (vanity) number plate that I bought for the SLK letters, and thought I could use the first part to better use.
So after a few pounds spent on ChavBAY I’ve produced a brand new Mercedes 😻
Like go faster stripping, these badges will increase its top speed by 20mph and reduce its 0-60 time by at least a second 😎

Speaking of being shot and cars, I’ll never forget a road rally I was competing in about 20 years ago in my Opel Manta.
it was about 2am and we were on a country lane doing about 75mph (I mean, um, er, 60 officer) when we heard a loud bang from the back end of the car.
both my navigator and I thought we had kicked up a small rock under the car so agreed to check for damage at the next check stop.
when we got there the Marshalls asked if we had been shot at as the cars in front of us all reported an angry farmer with a shot gun taking pot shots at them. I checked for damage and found the rear end was peppered in tiny dents……sure enough we had been shot and all because the farmer was angry at cars driving on a public road past his farm in the early hours.
we heard later that he had been arrested but released with a warning.
still nothing compared to some of the YouTube road rage videos I have watched recently.o_O

Let's face it, we already get accused of posing for just owning an SLK.

Our Cornwall tour had a guy shouting at EVERY single car as they passed.
I was tempted to stop and offer him a Locket, but couldn't really hear him clearly over the exhaust note.

Other times we get a chorus of 'REV IT!!' off the teens.

Whatever floats their boat.
My car floats my boat & that is all I need it to do.

Now, if we all wanted to still be driving an RHD, black model T....

My daily is a boat 🤣...(S430L for those that don't know)

I think that as long as the individual that owns the car enjoys it do as you please within the constraints of being safe and legal 😉, it's not about what other think it's about how you feel walking out to it in the morning and whilst your behind the wheel having a great deal of fun 👍
