Top Down for Paris Fun-Run

In the early years... the Fun Run was a race against time from one point to another... through the streets and tunnels of Paris, making as much noise a possible... (just for the fun of it ).. but nowadays, with speed-traps etc.. it is a more sedate outing. However the Club has special permission to use many Pedestrians Only alleys and narrow passages.. for this one day each year... so the drivers have a wonderful time maneuvering.. and chasing one another...and we passengers get to see parts of the very old Paris that seldom get discovered by tourists.. :smile:

A list of questions must be answered.. and at designated stops we all search for the clues ... naturally this causes mayhem as we have permission to park anywhere we choose... >>

Sunday 23 November was a wonderful sunny day and a great opportunity to get the top down on our SLK....we had travelled the furthest to take part.. and meet up with so many old friends...but it was certainly worthwhile..

Super.. sorry I missed you.. did Paris twice this month. Have you ever been to the Cafe Venise aka Entrecote by Port de Maillot?? Fantastic steak et frites!

There are so many lovely places to eat around Paris... but, no, we have not had the famous steak and frites that you mention...

We do not often get to Paris... next visit will be towards the end of January for the club Assemblée Générale. No idea yet just where it will be held, but it is always an interesting venue and a great lunch.. (of course).

It seemed very strange not to be there in our TR4A .. but the SLK is a great little car and we are very pleased with its performance.. :smile::smile:
