Hi All,
10 years ago in April 2016 my father purchased a 2012 SLK 200 from Sidcup, England. At the time the car had done 38,500 miles in 2024 I was privileged to be handed the keys to the car.
In the 2 years i have had dailying the car there was a few things which had me wanting to carry out a few modifications to make this car look more unique and also have a bit of a personality.
I have made the following changes and there are also some items in the pipeline to be carried out hopefully in the near future
1. Rear Lip Spoiler
2. Gloss Black Multispoke Alloys with chrome lip (C63 W204 Styling)
3. Carbon Fibre Flat top and Bottom steering wheel with 12'oclock stripe (SLK 55 Styling)
4. Chrome Vents on the bonnet
5. Coding to remove picture unavailable in motion for videos
6. Coding for Roof operation to be enabled whilst upto 25mph
7. Coding for Rear Windows to function whilst roof is down
8. Coding For Puddle Light to work
9. Custom Ambient Lighting installation (controlled via remote or by an app)
Upcoming modifications
1. Red Callipers with AMG lettering to be decided
2. Carbon or gloss AMG style Rear Diffuser with white pin stripes keeping the dual exhaust OEM
3. Slight tint on the rear lights
4. Headlamp cover replacement due to condensation
5. C-Pillar in Gloss black restoration due to burns from the sun
6. Dechrome on the aluminium silver front Grill (TBD)
I must say I have been enjoying the SLK and having done a total mileage of 65,000 miles there is no hard top convertible that comes close to this.
