Hi All!
I have been seeing a lot of these wonderful cars popping up around San Diego lately as Summer approaches. This got me thinking…
After some research, I have gathered that there is no designated club for SLK/SL/etc owners in SoCal and there are no designated car meets for us to go to!
So I have taken it upon myself to start a club for fellow SLK owners, prospective owners, and enthusiasts to meet and discuss our cars. Events and benefits of joining will include “fun runs”, meets, merchandise, and numerous social events for members. I have made a facebook group which I will link and am working on the website! My hope is that there will be a minimal membership fee or hopefully no fee at all. I am looking into how much I can afford, and how much this all will cost! I have never started a club like this ever before so I am welcoming any and all feedback and ideas! My hope is that this will be a welcoming and supportive environment for all to learn, share advice, stories, meet new people, and show off your cars... Everyone is welcome! I hope some of you will join the club? ;)

Hey @tinydancer06, it's great to see you're taking the initiative to start an SLK club for Southern California – those fun runs sound like they'd be a blast! Since you mentioned you're open to all feedback, what specific aspects of getting the club up and running are you most keen to hear ideas on first? Sharing a bit more could really help others jump in with suggestions!

Thank you!! I am researching the best way to start a website to reach more people. It has been a slow process, since I’ve never taken on a project like this before. I will post updates on this thread as they come 🙂 Thanks again for your support!

I am also in Southern California, in Laguna Niguel, near Dana Point. I would love to go to a meet-up with my 2006 MBZ SLK350, AMG appearance package. I've had it for several years and it is finally running like a dream. Changed sparkplugs, coils, tires, shcocks (Bil
