Some of you may remember my original stealth phone holder at the top of the dash, using the centre tray as a holder for a flip-up stand.

Well, it's time for an update.

I've fitted a new model - a MagSafe model. This allows more recent Apple devices to clip directly to the mount using strong magnets and can also wirelessly charge your phone while travelling. It even works on Andorid phones, if you can buy a suitable case for your phone with MagSafe magnets built in.

Fitting the mount is much the same as the first mount that I fitted. The only other thing I need to do is to install a 12V to USBC charger to plug into the mount.

Does it work? 560 miles around the bumpy ( ) UK countryside and the phone never budged once.

I was able to run a stiff cable down from the top with the head unit and coin tray both out, but it was a pain. I think i would have saved time if I'd loosened the facia to give better access.
