If anything moves, the pump is probably ok.
Is the roof moving or the trunk opening ?
If trunk opens and roof does not move - the trunk has a condition switch to tell the pump/controller it is confirmed open and ok to stow or unstow roof. If this switch is sticky or bad, the trunk opens and nothing else moves.
If the trunk opens then the roof starts to move and stops, the other item to check is the roof lock pawls that are cable actuated from the top lock hydraulic cylinder. Where the top roof meets the back window this joint has locking pawls to strengthen the roof when up. When putting the top down the top hydraulic cylinder actuates the locks at top of windshield by control rods, and the pawls by back window by cables. The cables stretch with time and don't fully retract the pawls, so the rear hinge won't release. You can see the pawls in the hinge, and may be able to manipulate with a screwdriver to get to release, or push firmly at rear of headliner with palm of hand while roof is trying to open and it may pop loose... If not, it is a challenging thing to remove the headliner to adjust the cables with roof locked....ugh.
Happy top down spirited motoring, soon.
