Thank you. Shipping to .br isn't a breeze. It involves being taxed at around 100% over parts + shipping + insurance. And packages being "lost". I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with a particularly trustworthy source.
You need to put in your info where you are.
I would think that google would still be a good source there

It is hard to imagine how unreasonable the world can be. And how much unfairness the average person takes. In 2001 due to br taxation, the SLK230K was US$99,000 and the 320 was US$129,000. In real state terms this price would buy you 2 or 3 middle class homes.

For all model years I'd say 300-400 R170s existed in a country of 230million ppl. Half of those were stolen in br and swaped in Paraguay for drugs, at the time. For many years they were impossible to insure, which affected sales. I'd be surpised if there are more than 30 320s today, the same for the CLK W209.

Parts not only do not exist locally, because no one would keep an inventory for such rare cars that are rarely driven. On top of that dealers who choose to deal with older cars (many will not even run vin s older than 10 years), charge laughably high prices.

I was recently quoted US$2,000 for this. https://mbparts.mbusa.com/oem-parts/mercedes-benz-mass-air-flow-sensor-1120940048

For comparison the 2026 GLE53 is on sale here for about US$175,000 against US$94,000 in the US.

NO one knows where you are so how we (better) help you?
It's to your benefit and is much easier for members to see your car (YEAR SLK "MODEL" and nothing else) details in Vehicle Details and where you are in "Location"

so the best method to update is:

click and follow the instructions FOUND HERE to update your profile.

If you have problems figuring out how to update your profile, just click

"REPORT" (3 buttons top right in this post)

and we'll help you out.

Just to wrap things up. My dreamy expectation: "X in country Z loves R170s so much that these brittle, commonly replaced, essencial but expensive parts are readly available in many colors." variants of this dream a) maybe new, used or refurbished b) may be expensive or ridiculously expensive c) ships or not to .br

Even if I were still in FL I'd still be facing about US$4,000 in parts. Isn't there any other way?
