Hi, thanks for letting me join this group!
I am looking at a 1 owner, 2006 55AMG with 145,000 miles. Great clean Carfax, serviced at the dealership only for the entire life of the car thus far.
It looks wonderful. I am going to go to the person that now has the car for sale and was wondering if you could give me some things I need to look for.
The Carfax never showed any Transmission flush done but not sure if it was by the dealership under 'recommended' maintenance.
Any help is appreciated!

At this milage the seal on the oil separator at the back or the driver side exhaust cam will probably be leaking oil into the intake manifold. It is critical to replace the black plastic housing at the back of the cam. The oil gums up the flaps inside the manifold and first breaks the plastic actuators on the front of the manifold, then if only the outside shafts are replaced, the flaps inside break to be sucked in. My 350 broke a rod. I think the V8 has the same PCV parts. You can do a leak down check to see how good the rings and vales are sealing. That motor can go another 150K.
