So i took ownership of this fine automobile last night, drove her home with the biggest smile on my face ever. There are a couple of right off the bat jobs that need to be done

  • reattach mirror to the windscreen (glue is on its way)
  • clean the drain holes (i have a trombonebrush)
  • figure out a phone holder solution i actually like
  • replace bonnet gas lift thingy
  • take her to get a really deep clean
worth saying that this is the first time i will have ever worked on a car and i have no idea what im doing really but its gonna be an adventure.

i have to say shes in amazing condition and that is entirely thanks to the excellent care of @Cerberus Velvet

hey folks,

Been a while and while iv been away having fun with the car, iv replaced the other sides front wing, so there now as good as they can possibly get :D

but i have a new problem and i hope you guys can point me in the right direction.
poor Genevieve is leaking! shes leaking somewhere above the interior light and sensor package.

i removed the sensors and lights as it kept setting the alarm off (very annoying).

im pretty sure that its due to the excessive rust on this part (see picture)

what i could use some help with is a parts list of what i need to find to repair it? iv been really struggling as i have no idea what its actually called

ok so i need to figure out how to repair it. im guessing it will be a case of remove the windscreen and then sand/fill/paint...

its also possible its just the rubber seal with the windscreen the water is getting behind. not totally sure and cant investigate too much as i hit something in the road last night with my main car and its awaiting collection by the insurance for repair. meaning that genenvieve is now my only car! (thats a scary thought in itself)

but yea anyway... really need to get the raining inside the car fixed.

It's more likely to be the seal rtv/glue rather than the panel that's leaking.

A couple of stone chips and subsequent crazing on that panel on one of mine was sorted out in situ in the bodyshop. Windscreen removal sounds a bit drastic IMO ..
