Time for a ferry.
Not cheap but rates vary widely.

Yep. It demands being driven both ways.
South to North is the most challenging.

Disappointing that tt is closed Ramsey to Bungalow. Expected road works but had to sort landslide onto the road & over ran.

Rest is open though and the Sulby road is an excellent diversion 😂😂😂

We have done the Southern circuit tho.

If only she’d let me drive!

I was going to do those today but had a Viking glass last night. It was never empty.

Probably not going to get much driving in now as family day and half before ferry.

I’ve toyed with doing a group tour a few times, but ferry costs are a killer & needs to only be 6 or so cars for some roads.

Bonus is not being able to get lost.
You hit coast, turn left or right and find your way back.

Coffee at Old Laxey. Deffo visit The Shed for a break. Not only quality refreshments but they provide blankets and cushions for beach sitting.
Not forgetting the Gelato’s

Nipped into Laxey itself only to find a bike leaking fuel. Found the owner who did not give two bits of concern…idiot. So nipped into garage to borrow their grit bucket and cover his mess before someone had issues.

My cousin had a sneaky treat.
Pizza at Port Erin as a take away and us as the delivery team.
You know when you watch Rally cars and the navigator reads pace notes?
That was us heading back to Douglas and cutting through a chunk of the Southern and a back road I didn’t know (St Marks, Robbie) which comes out at Signpost Corner.
All roof down in the sun!

Heck was that fun! Still grinning and pizza was still hot! Also excellent scoff.

All in brilliant sunshine.

No shots of the route (obviously) but Port Erin sets the scene.

A cracking end to the week and more fun than the mountain (which I love).

Glad you had a great time! Empty roads, in good condition, no speed cameras to worry about, and a couple of good race circuits to try out, kind of offsets the price of the ferry tickets! Don't forget to get your Manx Kippers before coming back! And leave the rain on the Island!!
