@savcom Go for it Martin, when time permits.

Good luck with sale and move.

Have we toured Dorset yet? :D
Mrs. Savcom and I are already planning a Wessex Tour don't you know. Let us move first and get some touring done....

Great stuff, Martin @savcom!

I love it, but I thought it was a leisurely sightseeing drive to enjoy the scenery>:D

Looking forward to the next magnificent seven!

but ....as Myk said, only if/when you can fit us into your busy schedule.

Thanks Myk and Dave.

One more tonight - this is the trip from Seaton to Newquay via Bodinnic and Roche.

Please forgive Google's algorithms for they know not what they do. :frown:

Is it Google algorithms or were those last 5 miles to the Bodinnick ferry a bit brisk?

Myk -- I recall advise you offered when someone was considering a 55. Words along the lines of 'if servicing and running costs are a consideration, don't buy a 55'. Besides, you were cruising down the M5 when Martin filmed this run! Unless you were snuck in behind us and then only appeared for breakfast on Saturday!

Thanks all.

I left my 'puter uploading to Google while I was sunning myself at Duxford, so I now have four Saturday videos to share (all hyperlapsed, so the journeys are at 8x normal speed):

  1. Britannia Lanes of Cornwall to Hells Mouth Café - This video covers the journey from the Britannia Lanes depot, across the A30 to St Agnes and then on the B3277, followed by an un-numbered road and the B3300/B3301 to Hells Mouth Cafe.
  2. Hells Mouth Café to Sennen - This video covers the journey from Hells Mouth Cafe to the B3306 St Ives to St Just road - arguably one of the most scenic drives in the UK - and after this, on to Sennen, a small port close to Lands End.
  3. Sennen to Porthleven - This video covers the journey from Sennen to Porthleven, a trip of Rural byways and some significant sights. Startin on the B3315, then the A30/A394 through Penzance and finally the B3304 into Porthleven.
  4. Porthleven to Newquay - This video covers the journey from Porthleven to the King Harry Ferry and then home to Newquay. It takes in a small part of the Roseland Peninsular, an area full of scenic lanes, quaint rural villages, secluded coves and tranquil beaches. As @DaveR. says, this is just a taster but I hope you will still find it enjoyable.

I'll paste each into a new post below.

Just two more from Sunday:

Bodmin to the Jamaica Inn (in Bolventor). taking the scenic route....

And finally Widemouth to Wadebridge via Boscastle and Port Isaac:

I've a couple of 360 videos to post too - when I've worked out how. These may have to be at normal speed and if so, I'll edit them down to the interesting bits.

Day 6 of Our Cornish Road Trip

With everyone else making their way home or already home, We still had a few more days away in Cornwall... :tu:

Leaving our hotel, We checked out the Fistral Beach – Tad chilly sea breeze I have to say, but top down none the less:
Image

Though no point going onto the beach, as there wasn’t space in our SLK for the bucket & spade, wind break ect.

So heading off to Falmouth to see Carole’s Daughter instead – With no space for 3 in the SLK to go for a drive, parked up & got the ferry to St Mawes on the other side of Falmouth Harbour and found a pub out of the wind for a nice pint of Tribute and Fish & Chips (with the Girl's on G&T's..!)
Image

St Mawes is a real chocolate box village by the sea:

Walked up to St Mawes castle to see the view, but not English Heritage members and far to nicer day to pay to go inside:

Keeping a eye on the time, got the last ferry back to Falmouth - No cars carried on this one!:

.......To find My car almost “billy no mates” in Falmouth harbour car park, but was £8 to park all day which might be why.. :surprise:

Then made it to our Hotel in Falmouth, with a nice view over Gylly Beach:
(As You can see, the South Cornwall coast is generally no good for surfing..!!)
